Channels and threads
Channels, threads, direct messages, mentions, reactions, code snippets and search in XenRooms – team chat like Slack, hosted in Germany or on your servers.
Other companies
Shared channels and direct messages with clients and partners over the open Matrix standard – like Slack Connect, with any Matrix server. Your admin decides.
AI
XenRooms’ AI sums up unread channels and threads with your permissions only and never writes to the chat. Mistral in the EU or your own model.
Calls
Start a video call in a channel or a direct message, like a Slack huddle: a small window next to the chat, a ringing call in direct messages. Hosted in Germany.
Email and chat
XenRooms keeps your email where it is – Microsoft, Google or your own. In Xenaxio the chat sits next to email: share an email to a channel, mentions by email.
Administration
Invite and block people, manage any channel, decide which companies you chat with, webhooks in the Slack format – the admin controls of XenRooms.
Apps
XenRooms runs in the browser and as an installed app on Windows, macOS, Android and iPhone – without an app store, with push notifications and all your companies.
Your data
XenRooms: a chat server of its own for every company, in Germany (Hetzner) or on your servers, encrypted in transit, data processing agreement on request.
Cloud or your servers
Run XenRooms in our cloud in Germany or on your own servers with Xenaxio On-Premise – the same software, your own AI model, chat that can stay internal.
Matrix
Matrix is an open standard that lets chat servers of different companies talk to each other, like email. How XenRooms uses it and what it means for your data.

What can XenRooms not do yet?
There is no import from Slack, no end-to-end encryption (on purpose) and no separate desktop download – the installed web app covers Windows and macOS.
