Calls

# Calls right in the chat, like Slack huddles

In XenRooms a call is one click in a channel or a direct message: the video runs in a small window next to the chat, so you keep reading and writing. A call in a direct message rings on the other side; in a channel, people join when they like.

## What you do with it

### One click

Start a call from the channel header or a direct message – no link to send, no extra app.

### Next to the chat

A small window next to the conversation; switch channels while the call keeps running.

### It rings

A call in a direct message rings in the other person’s app, with accept and decline.

### Our servers

Calls run on our servers in Germany, like the chat – or on yours with Xenaxio On-Premise.

## Questions

**Does XenRooms have huddles like Slack?**

Yes. Start a video call in a channel or direct message; it runs in a small window next to the chat, and others in the channel can join.

**Do calls ring?**

In direct messages, yes – in the other person’s open app, with accept and decline; a missed call stays in the chat. In a channel, people see the running call and join when they like.

**Can we share the screen?**

Yes, on the computer, together with camera and microphone.

**Where do calls run?**

On our servers in Germany, like the chat. With Xenaxio On-Premise on your own servers.
