# XenRooms vs Slack

Slack is the best-known team chat and runs only in Slack’s cloud; its free plan keeps 90 days of messages. XenRooms has channels, threads, direct messages, files and calls like Slack, gives every company a chat server of its own in Germany or on its own servers, and keeps the whole history, also in Free.
