# XenRooms vs Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams comes with Microsoft 365 and runs in Microsoft’s cloud; chat with other organisations works with people who have Microsoft identities. XenRooms is a team chat on its own, with a chat server of its own per company in Germany or on your servers, and talks to any Matrix server.
